thank you for helping me
close the book on my old ways
helping me see things
in a different way
even though you really werent trying to
im a new me thanks to you.

our time was short
but just long enough
you arrived at the moment
when i needed you most

you showed me theres life beyond him
its possible for me to care again
he was never the only on for me
and he never will be

you ran your course i see that now
never meant to be more than a road sign
showing me theres light at the end
and i will see brighter days again

id like to be friends but
i dont think that was the plan for us
just a wirlwind romance
never getting to the point of love

your ability to get me
was what made me think love
but i see it clearly now
you were just doing your job

so thank you mother earth
for sending chris to me
gave me a new lease on life
even though he was only temporary

p.s. to chris, its a new year, time for me to let go of the troubles last year brang.
even though we didnt see much of one another you made me feel peace which i hadnt felt since before my teens so thank you. things happened, words were said but that was last year and that was forever ago. and after i get my dvds back if i never see you again ill be ok coz evetytime i hear fall out boy (which has been a god awful lot lately lol) ill think of you and remember that there is life after death and that it will be ok in the end and ill remember to trust the one who matters most above all others. you rode into my life, turned it upside down, and rode out again. but ill never forget you.
