"Charm Part 2"

This charm still hangs

In it's place around my neck

Can't seem to take it off

Can't let go just yet

Something that was meant to be simple

Was never meant to hurt like this

It was supposed to work this time

You weren't supposed to quit

How is it that something so small

Blew up and took away everything

Now this stupid little piece of silver

Is all I have to remind me

This charm still remains in it's place

I try to take it off but my hands freeze

I just can't seem to manage it

Like I'd be taking away a part of me

You shut me out, let me go

Sent me off on a distant breeze

You may be able to throw it away, forget

But it's just not that easy for me

When I love someone, that's never a lie

If you believe nothing else, know that's true

If I could, I'd clear the Pacific

Just so I could prove it to you

Yet there is nothing in this world

That will make this feeling fade

My friends and family tell me "It's ok"

That I will find love again

As for me? I'm not so sure I can...
