When I'm with friends,
A smile I will wear,
When I'm with friends,
I live without a care.
When I'm alone,
It starts to sink in,
When I'm alone,
Can't hide the fear within.
It slowly eats away,
At all that I am,
I try to stay optimistic,
But I don't know if I can.
When I'm with friends,
My mind goes elsewhere,
When I'm with friends,
My feelings I share.
But when I'm alone,
At my soul my fear eats,
When I'm alone,
I stop being me.
