I tried to give you the one thing,

That I never got to have,

I wanted to give you a protector,

Wanted to give you a dad.

But daddy's on a dark road now,

And I doubt he's coming back,

He's gone and hopped on a train,

To a dark and terrible land.

I wish I could find, some kind of way,

To make up for the daddy you lost,

But I just don't see hope anymore,

This time he's really gone.

He's lost his will to fight for life,

Instead deciding to throw it into the sea,

I wish I could go back in time,

I'd do a million things differently.

I guess all I can give you now,

Is my endless support and unconditional love,

I could get down on my knees to tell you I'm sorry,

But I'm sorry will never seem like enough.
